Hello everyone welcome to my blog post I will tell you facts about sweets.

Number 1: 'Tu nous gâtes' is a french pharse which the word 'nougat' comes from.

Number 2: 'Candy Corn' was first called 'Chicken Feed'.

Number 3: You won't believe it but 'Cotton Candy' was invented by a dentist.

1.The 24-hour clock is a way of telling the time in which the day runs from midnight to midnight and is divided into 24 hours, numbered from 0 to 24. It does not use a.m. or p.m. This system is also referred to (only in the US and Canada) as military time or (only in the United Kingdom and now very rarely) as continental time. In some parts of the world, it is called railtime!!

AT THE SWEET FACTORY 

Today factories  can make and wrap millions of sweets a day with just a few workers. There are many  different kinds of sweets that factories can produce. Did you know  a sweet makers workshop has been discovered in the ancient town of Herculaneum buried by the volcanic eruption of vesuvius  in 1979.

Put together some sugar glucose syrup condenend milk fats and salt. Then you mix it for ten minutes, heat to get rid of some of the water and then cook it gently. You have mad some caramel YUM.

It was first grown somewhere in southeast Asia, and people made sugar from it 5 thousand years ago. Then it was grown in India.

Snakes are meat eaters.Snakes eat reptiles,fish,insects and eggs.They also have big meals.It is weird they have big meals because they are really skinny.

Snakes have really sharp teeth and their body is super-duper long.Snakes have flexible jaws for eating meat.Snakes are non-venomous nor nasty.They get frightened if people go near them.Snakes are reptiles and are cold blooded.

A Sumatran tigers have black and orange  stripes. Sumatran tigers have long tails .They also have long white whiskers. Sumatran tigers are 2.5 meters long. They  also have a white beard that goes up to their chin.

Termites those nasty creatures destroying wood homes.Luckily there is more brick houses than wood but sometimes those pesky little nuisances can eat away a wooden houses walls.

Diet
Termites are detritivores which means they eat dead organic material mostly plants they will also feed off moldy wood.If a house is infested with termites you will either have to destroy the house or abandon it.


Habitat

Termites like hot and wet  climates like the rainforest.They are usually found in tree trunks or animal doo.



Appearance

Termites have a ant like look with wings but are actually more related to cockroaches.


Other


Termites used to be called white ants or wood ants.Like bats termites hate light so it prefers shaded houses but with some heat and it's moist.Termites are among the oldest insects alive today!!!Termites Shed their wings.Like bees, termites have a king and queen.Termites are actually descendants of cockroaches.
