llamas by david


wally the llamas is very friendly. his coat is soft and

thick and he loves hugs. wally lives with seven other

llamas on a farm. people come to the farm to go on        

 trek long walks  with the llamas.

Llamas can walk 15-20 kilmetres for to days and they put saddles on them and they are very frenidly and very soft they waik up montins  and they cut there hair.

Llamas  can walk 15-20 kilometres each day.A llama can carry about 25 kilograms.Llamas coat is very soft and thick and they love hugs.Llamas come from South America and people in South America kept llamas for hundred years.

I learnt that Maori people make  pohas and give people them.

We learnt that Maori made bags called poha out of kelp called rimurapa. They used the bags to store titi meat which is baby muttonbirds.

In spring baby chicks start to hatch out of their eggs.
 We put twelve eggs into an incubator.The eggs need to be in the incubator for 21 days incubators the  incubater has a bulb to keep it warm and a water tray so the eggs do not dry out.  On the 21st day the eggs start to hatch. And the baby chicks look really cute

We learnt that Tītī is one of the most common sea bird in new Zealand. There are millions in the world. They're also known as mutton birds.

I have learned that põhā is made from three different things :a kelp bag, a kete  and small  strips of tõtara bark.
